Stefano Sensi trained as usual with Inter on Wednesday morning, but Championship side Leicester City hope to sign the 28-year-old before the January deadline.
According to news from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sensi was in Pinetina with the rest of the Nerazzurri first team on Wednesday morning and participated in training as usual. The pink paper suggests that Inter and Leicester agreed in principle a few days ago for a fee of around 3.5 million euros, but according to the latest news, no official agreement has yet been reached. Leicester hope to include Sens on an initial loan deal with an option to buy if they are promoted back to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Sensiis out of contract with Inter in the summer, however, so Leicester’s offer could leave the Nerazzurri at risk of losing the player to another club for free if Leicester fail to win promotion this year. And so, the negotiations continue. Leicester are looking to add midfield strength before the end of the January transfer window after Italy U21 star Cesare Casadei was recalled by parent club Chelsea earlier this month..
