Stephen Elliott, a former Manchester City striker has taken up a new role in irish football.
Elliottjoined sunderland from Manchester City in 2004 and spent three seasons at the club before leaving for wolves.
The republic of Ireland international made 88 appearances for the club and netted 23 goals, including a screamer against newcastle united in 2005, but the black cats lost the premier league match 3-2 at st james park.
