The Forgotten Lighthouse
On the edge of a quiet, misty seaside village stood an old lighthouse, long abandoned but still standing firm against the crashing waves. Locals spoke in hushed tones about the place, saying it was cursed after its keeper vanished without a trace decades ago. Most avoided it, but for Elara, a young artist, the lighthouse was a captivating mystery.
Elara spent her afternoons sketching the towering structure from a distance, enchanted by its solitude. One evening, as she was packing up to leave, she noticed a flicker of light coming from the top of the tower. It was impossible—no one had lived there in years.
Curiosity led her to venture inside. The spiral staircase creaked beneath her feet as she climbed toward the light, which shone brighter with every step. When she reached the top, she was met with a strange, warm glow and a figure—a young man, translucent and wearing a lighthouse keeper’s coat.
He introduced himself as Luka, the missing keeper. Trapped between worlds, he had watched over the sea, waiting for someone to finally see him. Moved by his loneliness, Elara promised to help him find peace. Over the weeks that followed, she uncovered stories of Luka’s life, his love for the ocean, and his lost dreams.
In the end, Elara held a small ceremony, placing flowers and a letter at the lighthouse’s base. As she whispered a farewell, the light flickered one last time before fading into darkness, Luka’s spirit finally at rest. The lighthouse stood silent once more, but now, it felt like it was smiling, watching over the village with a new, peaceful aura.
