The rivalry between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs fills the airwaves and articles like this one, but it all starts on the field between the players.
Consider JaMarr Chase and L Jarius Sneed’s soldiers on the front lines.
As a wide receiver and cornerback, they have faced each other the same number of times in each team’s five games since the 2021 season.
More than a few words were exchanged along the way.
During an appearance on the Up And Adams Show with Kay Adams, Sneed stated that he believes the three-time Pro Bowl wideout is the least favorite of all the receivers he has faced.
I think JaMarr Chase, Sneed told Adams. He doesn’t like the Chiefs, period.
He and I are very cocky. He got a mouthful. He entered the mouth. got a strong argument.
Chase had done more than enough to make his distaste for the Chiefs known.
Before this year and the playoffs started, his prediction to win Super Bowl LVIII was: Anybody but the Chiefs.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t be more wrong, but Chase would probably agree with Snead on this one.
Trash talking isn’t just part of Chaseand’s game, it’s what he loves to do.
Sneed giving his name in response is a feather in his cap and a testament to his contribution to making this match as intense as it is.
Chase’s last meeting and#039; with Sneed was last New Years, which apparently came to Sneed’s mind when they were asked about Adams a question He refused to share some of the things Chase had said in their previous meetings.
I can’t tell that on camera, andquot; Sneed said with a laugh. There is a fierce conflict in inter-team rivalry, which still seems to be the strongest in the AFC.
No team other than the Bengals has denied the Chiefs a Super Bowl appearance since 2019.
Sneed is a free agent this offseason, though Kansas City will surely want to bring him back against Chase..
