Is it likely that the los angeles lakers run out of gas before the nba playoffs begin? Lebron james is playing like he is still in his prime at the age of 38. Lebron’s name was once again recorded in the record books as a player in their 21st season as he set a new record with 35 points against the los angeles clippers.
This feat is even more impressive when considering that he was being guarded by two of the best perimeter defenders in the nba, kawhi leonard and paul george. Since turning 35, lebron has played 81 30-point games, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
It’s amazing how lebron is able to defy father time and how he is still able to do this at this stage in his career. So far this season, he has a combined 24.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game, and i’d be surprised if lebron can keep up this level of consistency.
According to the truth, lebron will most likely be playing 30-plus minutes on a daily basis. Anthony davis is more than able to close out games, but opposing defenses will focus solely on him and force other players to step up when lebron goes to the bench. In the closing minutes of close games, lebron is on the floor with davis, giving the opposing teams two players to worry about with or without the ball. The superstar duo will not just beat opponents off of talent alone, but both of them are so cerebral that double-teaming or trying to cut off driving lanes is almost impossible.
