Manchester City players have asked Kyle Walker to stay at the Etihad Stadium in the summer transfer window.
What is the story? The England international almost left Manchester City after last season’s third-place finish.
The Daily Mail believe Walker has considered a move to Bayern Munich after lifting the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League and has even discussed the situation with Harry Kane, who has joined the German giants.

However, the Daily Mail believe it wasn’t about finances – Manchester City and Bayern Munich ended up putting the same amount on the negotiating table.
It is said that Walker simply wanted as long a deal as possible to secure his future in one place, as many footballers over the age of 30 usually have to settle for a 12-month extension at best.
As it stands, the Manchester City No.2 now earns £175,000 a week.
