Lions Lineback James Houston Says Goodbye to Lions as he confirms leaving as he is now going to…..

Detroit Lions quarterback James Houston is setting high goals for himself in his one-season NFL career.

The Jackson State standout had a solid debut season with the Lions in 2022, but he wants more as the team looks to reach new heights in 2023.

“My role is primarily passing and kicking.

I just want to expand on that. Whatever else they give me, I’m very happy, very blessed and happy,” Houston said in an interview with Woodward Sports.

“But you know what I did was extraordinary. I set NFL records. Honestly, I just want to build on that. I want to double my sack total.

If I could do that this year, that would be my dream.”Houston set some records as a rookie in 2022.

He was the first Lions player to record a multi-sack game in his first career and also had the most sacks through three games in Lions history with four.

Houston was fantastic in seven games, recording eight sacks and forcing a fumble..
