LIVERPOOL TRANSFER NEWS:

After about eight weeks and in time, the transfer window will reopen and Liverpool and their rivals will be given the opportunity to strengthen their squads ahead of the second half of the season. Perhaps the most likely signing for the Reds is Fluminense midfielder André, who helped his side beat Boca Juniors 2-1 in the Copa Libertadores final at the weekend.
Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt previously claimed (via ESPN) that Liverpool boss Billy Hogan approached him about a deal for André in the summer, but was told selling the Brazilian midfielder was not an option. He added that he is open to negotiations in the winter, so it looks like Liverpool will find a receptive negotiating partner if they come knocking on the door again.
But that’s not the only area the club needs to think about. Mohamed Salah will enter the final 18 months of his contract at the turn of the year and the Reds will need to bolster their back-up plan if he leaves.
