The San Francisco 49ers extended their winning streak to six games and won the NFC West with a 45-29 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy added to his MVP credentials with four touchdowns and 242 passing yards.
Arizona tried to score an early touchdown in the first two minutes, but the 49ers responded with back-to-back touchdowns of their own and never let up from there. Fellow Dallas Cowboys returned to reality with a 31-10 demolition of the Buffalo Bills. 10 wins for the Cowboys#039; the defense looked powerless against Buffaloand#039’s run game as James Cook, Josh Allen and LataviusMurray all found the end zone down the field. Despite the loss, other results of the previous day ensured that the cowboys would make the finals for the third year in a row.
The Cleveland Browns scored 13 fourth quarter points in a 20-17 win over the Chicago Bears. The sides were tied 7-7 at halftime after Cole Kmet and David Njoku scored, but the Bruins took a 10-point lead in the fourth when Tremaine Edmunds returned an interception 45 yards for a score.
But the Browns saved their best until last, and two Dustin Hopkins field goals along with an Amari Cooper touchdown gave them the win, with 38-year-old Joe Flacco throwing for 374 yards. The Super Bowl winner Kansas City Chiefs returned to winning ways with a 27-17 win over the New England Patriots. Running back Jerick McKinnon caught one touchdown pass and threw another to Rashee Rice, while Patrick Mahomes threw for 305 yards, two scores and two interceptions.
