The attitude of the Tour could change, however, when an agreement approaches with the Saudi Arabian Investment Fund (PIF), which finances LIV’s undertaking to unify the elite men’s game.

AndWoods, the new player director of the PGA Tour’s policy committee, told reporters Wednesday that daily discussions about returning LIV players to the circuit will continue.

“We’re looking at all different models for the return course,” Woods said before his first start of 2024 at the Genesis Invitational.

“What this is going to look like, how it’s going to affect players who stayed and who didn’t leave, and how we’re going to improve our product going forward, there’s no answer at this point.

“We’re looking at very different, different ideas, and what that looks like in the near future , we don’t know.

“We don’t even know what it’s going to look like long term. Believe me, we have daily, weekly emails and conversations about this and what it’s going to look like for our future tour.

“Uncertainty remains, although the PGA Tour and LIV will continue to operate separately, but Woods emphasized his desire The PIF chart since the tour made its big capital investment deal.

“Ultimately we would like the PIF to be part of our tour and part of our product,” Woods said as he promoted his tour’s new $3 billion investment deal from the American billionaire conglomerate known as Strategic Sports Group (SSG).

He added: “We want our tour to have history, history and the tradition of history and have the courses, the accessibility and all the intangibles that have made the PGA Tour what it is and what it has been and hopefully can do. now be.

” to be even better.”And how do we do that? That’s the whole idea why we have a group like SSG to give us information and help and try to create the best tour possible.”.
