“HE CAN’T WIN FOREVER” – Marco Bezzecchi DEMANDS MotoGP Argentina Organizers to Investigate Marc Márquez’s Desmosedici GP25 for Suspected Engine Fraud
MotoGP is no stranger to controversy, and ahead of the Argentina Grand Prix, tensions have reached a boiling point as Marco Bezzecchi has called for an urgent investigation into Marc Márquez’s Desmosedici GP25. The VR46 star believes something is off with the eight-time world champion’s bike, suspecting possible engine fraud that could be giving Márquez an unfair advantage on the track.
Bezzecchi’s Bold Accusation
Speaking to the press in Termas de Río Hondo, Bezzecchi didn’t hold back his frustration, claiming Márquez’s sudden dominance on the Ducati GP25 is “too good to be true.” The Italian rider, who has struggled to match the pace of the factory Ducati bikes this season, suggested that Márquez’s machine might not be running within legal specifications.
“Look, we all know Marc is a great rider, but he can’t win forever. There’s something strange about his bike, and I think the organizers need to thoroughly investigate it. His straight-line speed, his acceleration—it just doesn’t add up. If everything is fair, then fine. But right now, it looks suspicious,” Bezzecchi stated.
Márquez’s Performance Raises Eyebrows
Since joining Gresini Ducati, Márquez has been an immediate threat to the factory team. Despite being on a satellite bike, the Spaniard has consistently matched or even outpaced Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martín, both riding the same GP25. While his aggressive riding style and experience are undeniable, Bezzecchi and some rival teams believe the advantage might not be purely skill-based.
Rumors have swirled in the paddock that Márquez’s GP25 could be running a modified engine outside the strict MotoGP regulations. If proven, it could lead to severe consequences, including potential penalties for Gresini Racing and Ducati.
MotoGP Officials Respond
So far, MotoGP officials have not confirmed whether an official investigation into Márquez’s bike will take place. However, Bezzecchi’s public comments have put significant pressure on the Argentina GP organizers and the FIM Technical Directorate to at least review the situation.
A spokesperson for Dorna Sports addressed the claims, saying, “All bikes undergo rigorous technical inspections before and after races. If any team raises concerns with concrete evidence, we will take appropriate action.”
Marc Márquez Fires Back
When asked about the allegations, Márquez laughed off Bezzecchi’s claims, dismissing them as mind games.
“I’ve heard a lot of excuses over the years, but this one is new. I ride the same bike as the others; maybe they should check their own settings instead of making accusations,” Márquez said with his trademark smirk.
With the Argentina Grand Prix just around the corner, all eyes will be on Márquez and his GP25. Whether Bezzecchi’s accusations hold any weight or are simply an attempt to unsettle the Spaniard remains to be seen. One thing is certain—this MotoGP season just got a lot more dramatic.
